About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube "All that Glitters" from
the latest pack
124 from
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is "Clove Cinders" from
Pink Paradox Productions
and can also
be purchased at

I used animation 308 from pack 100 by
Kiya Designs
which is also available
at

You will need png mask 368 from
and the
mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask.

Paste element 163, resize 40% and position.

Paste element 158, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 116, resize 32%, position and apply the shadow.

Open element 117, duplicate it and close the original, resize it 45%,
duplicate the element and close off the top copy, apply the 20.20 mask to the
original copy twice, open the top copy and erase the part around the left hand
corner and bottom to blend it into the masked copy so that corner is faded out,
merge the two copies together then copy, paste on your tag and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 71, resize 20%, position below element 117 and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 170, resize 60% and position.

Paste element 3 on the top, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 168, resize 40% and position.

Paste element 8, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 132, resize 50% and apply the shadow with the box "shadow on a
new layer" checked, then resize the element only another 95% and position.

Paste the tube, resize 55%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 50, resize 25%, position behind the tube and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 111, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 149, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 20% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 159, resize 33%, duplicate, position one copy below and one
above the tube and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 66, resize 13%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 124, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

ANIMATION:

Starting from the bottom, close off all layers up to below the tube and merge
visible, close off this top layer, reopen the bottom ones and again merge
visible.  Copy the bottom merged layer and paste in Animation Shop as "a new
animation".  Open Kiya's animation and resize it 50%.  Duplicate your merged
layer until it has 25 frames which is the same as Kiya's animation.  Select all
the frames in Kiya's animation and copy them, select all the frames in your
merged layer, right click and "paste into current frame" then paste Kiya's
animation on your tag.  Copy the top merged layer from your tag in Paint Shop,
again paste it in Animation Shop as a new animation, duplicate it so you have 25
frames then select, copy and paste on your tag.  Run the tag through the
Optimization Wizard and save as a gif.
