Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Just a Note

In this learning tutorial I used the free tube

This is a learning
tutorial and teaches the use of shadows and rotation.  The shadow is not put on all the elements, just
the ones you want to “pop” out with a 3-D effect; I have stated which ones to
use them on.  To apply the shadow,  at the top go to Effects – 3D Effects – Drop shadow
and enter the values in my screenshot here and click ok.  Of course you can make the tag without the
shadows if you prefer.


















Open a new transparent
canvas 700 by 600 pixels and fill with white.





Copy and paste element
31, resize 70% and move down and to the right.





Paste element 12,
resize 45% and position on the right.





Copy and paste element
6, resize 45% and move up and to the left.





Copy and paste element
11, resize 80%, position and apply the drop shadow.





Copy and paste element
22, resize 45%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.





Copy and paste element
25, resize 95% then, at the top,  go to
Image – Free rotate and check the boxes “Left” and “90” and click ok, position
and apply the drop shadow.



















Paste element 29,
resize 60%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 15,
resize 85%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 10,
resize 45%, at the top go to Image – Mirror – Mirror Horizontal, position and
apply the shadow.





Paste element 1,
resize 70% and rotate to the left as you did before with the settings below
then position and apply the shadow.



















Paste the tube, resize
60%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 2,
resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 8,
resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste wordart 2,
resize 80%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 28,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.





Check your layers and
make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and
text, close off the white background and save as a png.
