Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Steam Power

In this tutorial I used the fun kit "Steam Power" from
Hania
Designs.
This is a really great kit with some fabulous elements
and
includes two versions of a tube from
Andy Cooper
and two versions of a
tube from
Yulya,
neither of which I used in my tag.

You will need my png mask

Font of choice.

 


I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.


Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste my mask, resize 85%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer,
paste paper 2 into the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask
layer.

Paste element 58, resize 55% and position.

Paste element 26, resize 45%, position on the left, duplicate, mirror and
flip the copy position on the right.

Paste wordart 6, resize 45% and position.

Paste element 108, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 45% and position in the middle at the bottom,
duplicate twice, mirror one copy and position on the left, mirror and flip the
second copy and position on the right, drag the original centre copy above the
other two and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 34, resize 80% and position.

Paste element 128, resize 25% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 32, resize 60%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 125, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

A Grinchy Christmas

In this tutorial I
used the fabulous kit

Font of  choice.

















I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity
65, blur 10.








Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill
with white.





Paste the mask, select all, float and defloat it, make a
new layer, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect,  delete the original black mask layer,
duplicate the paper layer and merge the copy down onto the original





Paste frame 6, resize 50%, select the interior of the
frame with you magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer
below it and paste paper 12 into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow
to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move into place.





Paste element  42,
resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.





Paste element  98,
resize 90%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.





Paste  wordart  4, resize 60%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
