Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Beautiful Autumn

In this tutorial I used the tube "Skinny Dip" from
the latest pack 120 by 
Barbara Jensen.

You will need Autumn Mask 5 from

Font of choice.

 

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.


Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask, resize 23%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer
and paste paper 24 into the selection, deselect, delete the original black mask
layer and move the paper one up.

Paste element 43, resize 50% and change the blend mode to "Overlay," go back
to the mask layer, again select all, float defloat, move the clockface into
position, invert the selection and hit delete on it then delselect.  Close off the white background, merge visible and open the background again.

Paste element 151, resize 60%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 83, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 149, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 150, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste frame 9, resize 25%, select the interior with you magic wand and expand
the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 35 into the
selection, deselect, apply the shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper
and move into place.

Autumn or What?

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.



Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 750 pixels and fill with white.


Paste mask 3, resize 66% and move into place,


Paste mask 1, resize 55% and move into place.


Paste element 31, resize 55%, duplicate, mirror the copy, position and apply
the shadow to each.


Paste element 30, resize 45%, position on the bottom, duplicate, mirror this
copy and position it on the top copy of element 31, apply the shadow to
each.


Paste element 2, resize 55%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 90, resize 55% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 89, resize 55%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 54, resize 45%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 52, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 10, resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 14, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.


Paste element 48, resize 50% and duplicate, mirror the original copy,
position and apply the shadow to each.

Living for Autumn

 In this tutorial I used the fun tube "Valentine Mouse"

You will need mask 1 from


Font of choice.




I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur
15.



Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 and fill with white.


Paste the mask, resize it 70%, select all, float and defloat, make a new
layer, paste paper 4 into the selection, deselect and delete the original black
mask layer.  This paper mask layer will need to be stretched longer with your
pick tool, you do it now or later when you have your elements in place.


Paste element 06, resize 60%, position and apply the shadow.

Autumn Passions

In this tutorial I used the tube “Cosy Evening” from

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.


Open anew transparent canvas 700 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Paste spray 11, resize 85% and move into place.

Paste spray 8, resize 75% and move into place.

Paste element 107, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 84, resize 47%, place in position below element 107 and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60, resize 40%, position behind the clock and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 8b on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste wordart 1, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 92, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste spray 4 and position below the wordart.

Paste spray 1, resize 50% and move into place.

Paste element 105, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 95c, resize 50% and duplicate, position one copy on the top on the left, one on the right below the clock and apply the drop shadow to each. 

Paste the tube on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 78b, resize 30%, position below the tube erasing any parts that overlap and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 75, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 20% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 94, resize 22%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Close off the white background layer, right click on your tag and “Copy merged”, open the white background layer and click on it to activate it, right click again and “Paste as a new layer”.  Go to Adjust – Blur – Gaussian blur and apply with a radius of 20 then lower the opacity to around 75.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
