About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I am using the tube "Sage" from
the latest pack 119 from
Barbara Jensen.
This is a pack of 4 tubes available at

The kit is "Macabre Euphemia" from
Pink Paradox Productions.
This is an awesome kit and for sure I will be using it again!
You can get the kit also from

You will need png mask 361 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

I recoloured the tube's hair which Barbara allows, for help with recolouring check out my Tips and Tricks page.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 90%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer, paste paper 39 into the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask layer.

Paste element 53, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 92, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 47% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 37%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 184, resize 45% and position just above the mask.

Paste element 200, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 204, resize 35%, duplicate, merge the copy down onto the original, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 185, resize 80%, position so just a little shows on the right as  my tag erasing the rest of it.
Paste element 142 below the clock, resize 40%, mirror, position and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 141, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 132 above the clock, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 35 above the tube, resize 27%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 25, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 146, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 67, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 193, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 35%, position below element 193 and apply the shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
