About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Ghosts Gather!

In this tutorial I
used the lovely tube “Lady of the Night 2” from


Verymany.


You can purchase the

The matching kit

You will need mask 1
from


Minja Designs.





Font of choice.














I used a drop shadow
of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.





Open a new transparent
canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.





Paste the mask, resize
it 65%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer and paste paper 14 into
the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask layer.





Paste element 32,
resize 40% and move into place, apply the shadow with the box “shadow on a new
layer” checked then on the shadow layer go to Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur and
apply with a radius of 10.





Paste element 94,
resize 40% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 81,
resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 19,
resize 65%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 114,
resize 80%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste the tube, resize
25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 63 below
the tube, resize 40%, duplicate, mirror the original copy, position and apply
the shadow to each.





Paste element 62,
resize 35%, position between the two copies of element 63 and apply the shadow.





Paste element 15,
resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 111,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 126,
resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 7,
resize 50% and move into place.





Paste word art 2,
resize 22%, position and apply the shadow.

the tube, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 85, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.


Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your
copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
