About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Leafy Greens”
from

the latest pack 115 by

Barbara Jensen.

You can purchase the tube at

The kt is “Famous” from

Karmalized Scraps

and can also be purchased at

You will need mask 062 by

And mask 1 from set 133 by

Font is

Unless stated, I used
a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10 (we will call
this the “regular” shadow).

Open a new transparent
canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer,
select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect, duplicate the paper and
close off the top copy for now.  Apply
Mizteeques mask to the open paper and resize it 95%.  Open the closed paper and apply Rachel’s mask.

Paste spray 3, resize
65%, duplicate, mirror and flip one copy, position and apply a shadow of
vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 35, blur 10 to each.

With your preset shape
tool, using my tag for reference, foreground closed and background set to
colour #3a3a3a, draw an ellipse shape and covert the vector to a raster.  Go to Adjust – Add/Remove Noise – Add Noise and
apply using the settings in my screenshot below.  Add a drop shadow to your shape with vertical
and horizontal set to 0, opacity to 100 and blur to 20.   If you have difficult with this, you can use
my png shape below.

Paste element 52 and resize
50%, select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 30, make
a new layer below it and fill with black.
Paste your full size tube mirrored, resize it 65% and position in the
star and hit delete.  Paste element 38
also mirrored, resize 30% and move into place, again hit delete and then deselect.  Apply the last drop shadow to the star and
the regular shadow to the curtain, lower the opacity on the tube to around 50, close off all layers apart from the star, curtain,
tube and black layer and merge visible, open the closed layers and move the merged
one into place.

Paste the tube again
(unmirrored), resize 55%, position and apply the regular shadow.

Paste element 5, resize
30%, position below the merged star and apply the shadow.

Paste element 1,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 3, resize
40%, duplicate, position and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 51, resize
35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 21, resize
5%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 53,
resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 9. Resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste word art 1 above
the merged star layer, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 24, resize
25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 12, resize
20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 36,
resize 23%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 7,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 2, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 32, resize
40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste spray 1 on the
top, resize 17% and move into place.

Paste element 29, resize
22%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 54,
resize 4%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste snippet 1, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste snippet 2,
resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 14,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow you applied to the large star frame.

Paste element 20, resize
8%, position below element 14 erasing the long section of carpet and apply the last
shadow.

Paste element 22, resize
25%, position below the steps and apply the regular shadow.

Paste element 13,
resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 42,
resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 31, resize
12%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 8. Resize
10%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste spray 2, resize
10%, duplicate, mirror one copy, position and apply a drop shadow of vertical
0, horizontal 5, opacity 35, blur 10.

Check your layers and
make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and
text and export on a transparent background as a png.
