About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Margot's Moments

In this tutorial I used the awesome tube
“Steampunk Margot”


from the new artist


Katharine


at


VM artists store.





The matching kit is “Margot’s Moments” from


Bella Caribeña


and can be purchased at


Dreaming with Bella store.





You will need my png masks


0066 and 0077.





Font of choice.














I used a drop
shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.








Open a new
transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.





Paste mask 5 and
resize 80%.





Paste my mask 0077,
resize 90%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer, paste paper 2 into
the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask layer.





Paste mask 0066,
resize 80% then repeat as for the first mask using the same paper.





Paste element 15
and resize 45%, select the interior of the element with your magic wand and
expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and paste paper 11 into
the selection, paste the tube, resize 60% and move into place, invert the
selection and hit delete, deselect, change the blend mode on the tube to "Overlay"  and apply the shadow to the frame.





Paste element 141,
resized 50% and mirror, paste paper 1 below it and resize it 50%, position the
element towards the bottom of the paper, select all, float and defloat, invert
the selection and  hit delete on the
paper, select, delete the original element and move the paper one into place.





Paste the tube
again, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 99,
resize 25%, position below the merged frame layer and apply the shadow.





Paste element 14,
resize 35%, position below the tube and apply the shadow.





Paste element 69,
resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 7,
resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 148,
resize 17%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 67,
resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 114,
resize 75%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 112,
resize 40%,position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 77,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 53 on
the top, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 142,
resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 61,
resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 131,
resize18%, position and apply the shadow.

resize 15% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 36, resize
35% and move into place.





Check your layers
and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information
and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
