About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Starstruck

In this tutorial I used the tube “Starstruck”
from the latest


pack 113 by


Barbara Jensen.


You can purchase the tube at


Barbara’s store.





The kit is “Strange Land” from


Karmalized Scraps


and can also be purchased at


Barbara’s store.





You will need mask 1 from


Minja Designs.





Font of choice.














I used a drop shadow
of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.








Open a new transparent
canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.





Paste the mask and
resize it 65%, select all, float and defloat, make a new layer, paste paper 7
into the selection, deselect and delete the original black mask layer.





Paste element 33,
resize 25%, position at the top, duplicate, mirror the copy and position on the
right, apply the shadow to each.





Paste element 46,
resize 10%, apply the shadow, position on the tree and merge down.





Paste element 28,
resize 25%, position between the two trees and apply the shadow.





Paste element 12,
resize 50% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.





Paste the tube on the
top, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 4,
resize 45%, duplicate, position one below the tree on the right and the other
above the tube on the left and apply the shadow to each.





Paste element 50,
resize 40%, position below the tube and apply the shadow.





Paste element 45,
resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 39, resize35%,
position and apply the shadow.








Paste element 43, resize
50%, move into place, draw freehand selection around the element as my
screenshot below,  make a new layer below
it and paste paper 7 into your selection, deselect and apply the shadow to the
element.






















Paste element 29,
resize 25%, position between the arch and the paper and apply the shadow.





Paste spray 6 above
the clock face, resize 80%, mirror and move into place.





Paste element 41 in
the top, resize 23%, duplicate, position and apply the shadow to each.





Paste element 53, resize
20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 42,
resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 40,
resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 51,
resize 20%, recolour black, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 54, resize15%,
position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 15,
resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 25,
resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 36, resize
10%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 38, resize
8%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 3, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 26,
resize 20% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 37, resize
18%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 16, resize
10%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 44,
resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 48,
resize 5%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste element 13,
resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.





Check your layers and
make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and
text and export on a transparent background as a png.
