About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube "Queen of Hearts" from
Attila.
This is
the extended version of the tube which has more options than the
standard
version and is available at

The kit "Queen of Hearts" is by
Hania Designs
and can also be
purchased at

You will need mask 1 from
Minja Designs
and my png mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste my  mask, select all, float and defloat, paste the EXSTRA paper, position
it so the back of my mask is as far back on the tiled part as
possible, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect, delete the black mask
layer and position the paper one.

Paste element 95 and resize it 43%, click anywhere with your magic wand
outside of the element to make a selection, invert the selection and contract it
by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 1 into the selection, deselect,
apply the shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move into
place.

Paste the tube, I resized mine 14%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 78, resize 20%, position below the tube and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 53, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 68, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 50, resize 40% and position.

Paste element 4, resize 30% and position.

Paste element 9, resize 65%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 30% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste Minja's mask just above the white background, resize it 70%, select
all, float and defloat, make a new layer and paste paper 3 into the selection,
deselect and move into place, duplicate this mask layer and erase the part that
shows on the right hand side on the original layer, on the copy erase all of it
leaving just the bit on the right you erased on the original then move this
piece up into position.  We want that long brush stroke to be below the
cloud/bat/hare cluster.

Paste element 42, resize 55% and position.

Paste element 52 below the tube, resize 80% and position.

Paste element 3, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

each.
