About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube "Witch's Elixir" from
Verymany.
You
can purchase the tube at

The kit is "Autumn Witch" from
Doodle by Design.
This gorgeous can is
available at

You will need mask 1 (95) from
And my png mask

Font of choice.

Apart from the spider, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5,
opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels  and fill with white.

Paste the Kopona mask and resize it 28%, select all float and defloat, make a
new layer, paste paper 14 into the selection, deselect and delete the original
black mask layer.

Paste my mask, resize 75%, repeat as for the first mask using paper 9 and
then move to the masks into position.

Paste element 155, resize 90% and position between the two masks.

Paste element 139, resize 70%, mirror and position.

Paste element 153 on the top, resize 50% and mirror, position at the top,
duplicate, merge the copy down to the original, duplicate again, move this copy
down and to the right and apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 64, resize 70%, move into place, erase the ribbons that are
over my mask layer and apply the shadow.

Paste element 114, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 76, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 77, resize 65%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 80, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 133, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 30% and mirror, move in to place and apply a drop shadow with
the settings in my screenshot below (make sure shadow on a new layer is
checked), go back to the spider, repeat the drop shadow but changing the opacity
to 50, merge the spider down onto the two shadows and move into place.

Paste element 30, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow (remember to
change the settings back).

Paste element 68, resize 8%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 7%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 49, resize 20% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 148, resize 80% and move into place.

Paste element 21, resize 8% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 7% and rotate 40 degrees to the right, position and
apply the shadow.
