About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of

Yuriko Shirou.
You can purchase
Yuriko's tubes at

I used the great freebie "Mini Three" kit from

You will need my jpeg mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 775 by 675 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 2 into the selection, deselect,
apply the mask and resize it 90%.

Paste element 16, resize 60%, position on the right, duplicate, mirror the
copy and position at the top, apply the shadow to each.

Paste frame 2, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 25, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 45%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 29 below the tube, resize 70%, duplicate, resize the top copy
70% again and position it at the bottom, move the top copy up and erase the two
pieces that stick out at the bottom sides then apply the shadow to each.

Paste element 23, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 20% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 7% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, position and
apply the shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.  I did a bit of
recolouring on this element (check out my Tips & Tricks page for help with
recolouring).

Paste element 13, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 17%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 26 on the top, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 15% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, position and
apply the shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 15% and recolour #7f5135, position and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 13%, position and apply the shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.  Go back to the smaller copy of
the wall, open your eraser tool, set the size to 50 and opacity to 10 and run it
along the bottom hard edge that's over the mask to blend it  in.

When you are done, crop, add your copyright information and text and export
on a transparent background as a png.
