About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. That Kind of Energy

In this tutorial I used a beautiful tube called
“Alanna” from


Vika Misticheskaya.

You will need my mask


0037.





Font of choice.











I used a drop shadow
of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.








Open a new transparent
canvas 650 by 800 pixels and fill with white.





Make a new layer, select
all, pate paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize it 85%.





Paste smudge 2, resize
55% and move into place.





Paste smudge 1, resize
55% and move into place.





Paste grid, resize
35%, position top right, duplicate, mirror and flip the copy and position
bottom left.





Paste broken glass,
resize 45%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste moon, resize 50%
and move into place.





Paste path, resize 35%,
mirror, position and apply the shadow.





Paste tree 2, resize
60%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste lantern, resize 60%,
position and apply the shadow.





Paste glitter bling,
resize 70% and move into place.





Paste the tube, resize
18%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste gothica, resize 20%,
duplicate, position behind the tube and apply the shadow to each.





Paste cloud 1, resize
30%, duplicate, position one on the left over the gothica sign and one below
the sign on the right.





Paste web above the
gothica sign, resize 30% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.





Paste leaves 3, resize
40%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste floral 2, resize
30%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste florette 1 alt,
resize 8%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste floral 1, resize
25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste potion, resize 15%,
position below the cloud on the left and apply the drop shadow.





Paste candles, resize
20%, duplicate, position one copy on the left below the cloud and one copy on the
top, apply the drop shadow to each.





Paste bush, resize 60%,
position below the top candles and apply the drop shadow.





Paste leaves 2, resize
20%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste notepaper,
resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste book, resize
17%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste pin 2, resize 30%,
position and apply the shadow.





Paste pin 1, resize
25%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste tree of life
pent, resize 17%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste florette 2 on
the top, resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.





Paste florette 2 alt,
resize 10%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste ribbon 5, resize
40%, position and apply the shadow.

Check your layers and
make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and
text and export on a transparent background as a png.
