About me
Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Steampunk
Doll 2” from
Alex Prihodko.
The tube comes with several colour options and
can be purchased at
The matching kit is “Steampunk Doll” is from
and can be purchased at
You will need masks 242 and 243 from
Font of choice.
I used a drop shadow
of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.
Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and
fill with white.
Make a new layer,
select all, paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, duplicate the paper and
close off the top copy, on the original copy apply mask 243, resize it 70% and
move down and to the left, open the closed copy and apply mask 242, resize 90%
and move up and to the right.
Paste frame 4, resize
45%, rotate 90 degrees to the left and position on the right, duplicate, mirror
the copy and position on the left.
Select the interior of the left hand frame with your magic wand, expand
the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 10 into the
selection, paste the tube, resize 80% and position in the frame, invert he
selection and hit delete, deselect, change
the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and merge it down onto the paper,
apply the shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the tube/paper. Repeat the above with the right hand frame
but using paper 18 and the tube mirrored and resized 90%.
Paste element 73, resize 70%, position below the two merged
layers and apply the shadow.
Paste element 66, resize 60%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 29, resize 70%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 20,
resizez 30%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 57, resize 40%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 86, resize 40% and mirror, position and apply
the shadow.
Paste element 40 on the top, resize 30%, position and apply
the shadow.
Paste element 37, resize 15% and rotate 20 degrees to the
right, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 84,
resize 30%, duplicate, mirror one copy, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 33, resize 40%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 87, resize 15%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 46, resize 25%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste the tube again,
resize 32%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 32, resize 20%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 45, resize 20%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 79, resize 12%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 60, resize 23%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 52, resize 12%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 80, resize 10%, position and apply the
shadow.
Paste element 38, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 31, resize
12%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 50, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 59, resize
20%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 2, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 30, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 70, resize
15%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 26,
resize 17%, position and apply the shadow.
Paste element 54, resize
17% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.
