About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Althea” from

Verymany.

You can purchase the tube at

The matching kit “Althea” is from

Tiny Turtle Designs

and can be purchased at

You will need png masks 324 an 333 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of
vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas
750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste mask 324, resize
75%, select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer and paste paper 4
into the selection, deselect, delete the original black mask layer and move the
paper one up and to the left.

Paste mask 333, resize
this mask 90%, select all, float, defloat and paste the same paper in to the
selection all as the first mask then move this paper one down and to the right.

Paste element 144 and
resize 75%.  Click anywhere on your
canvas with your magic wand outside of the element to make a selection, then
invert the selection and contract it by 50, make a new layer below the element
and paste paper 11 into it.  Mirror the
tube then paste it on your canvas, resize it 80%, change the blend mode to “Hard
Light” and lower the opacity to around 70, position in the keyhole, invert the
selection, hit delete on the tube and deselect.
Merge the tube down onto the paper, apply the drop shadow to the frame
and then merge it down again.

Undo the  mirror on the tube and paste it again, resize
30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  52, resize 60%, position below the merged
keyhole and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  73, place in position and apply the drop
shadow.

Paste element  3, resize 50% and duplicate, flip the original
copy and position on the right, bring the second copy up and position above the
keyhole, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element  17, resize 50%, position below the keyhole
layer and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  168, resize 70%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  146, resize 50%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  194, resize 30%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element 70, resize
20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  8 above the keyhole layer, resize 30%, place
in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  210, resize 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  143. Resize 20%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  1, resize 10%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.

Paste element  225 on the top, resize 12%, place in position
and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  226, resize 12%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  94, resize 20%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  19, resize 15%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  12, resize 12%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  184, resize 40%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize
15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element  116, resize 20%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  113, resize 13%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  4, resize 20%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.

Paste element  172, resize 15%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  53, resize 12%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.

Paste element  98, resize 40%, drag right down to above the
masks, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make
any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text
and export on a transparent background as a png.   I used
the pick tool on mask 333 to make it a little narrower.
