About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of
Jamie Kidd.
You need a license to use Jamie’s art, available at

I used a kit called “Sweetly Refined”.
This is a really gorgeous kit and has many more elements than
I have used in this simple tag.
The kit can be purchased at
Deedles n Doodles store.

You will also need a mask, I used mask 188 by

I used the font

Please be sure to check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy Paper_14, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Duplicate the mask and merge the top copy down onto the original copy.

Paste Spray_6 as a new layer and resize 75%.

Paste Spray_2 as a new layer,  resize 80% and move a little up and to the right.

Paste Element_28 as a new layer, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.   I resized my tube 70%.

Paste Element_09 as a new layer, resize 50%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_19 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_38 as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_50 as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_48 as a new layer on the top,  resize 90%, place in position lining it up along the bottom of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_59 as a new layer, resize 50% and rotate 60 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_15 as a new layer, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Element_27 as a new layer, resize 20%, mirror, duplicate, resize the duplicate 90% and rotate it 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers again and make sure they are all in the correct position.

Paste Spray_4 as a new layer,  resize 70% and move it so it’s just below Spray_6, position so it shows in the bottom, left corner, duplicate it and move the duplicate up so a little more shows inside Spray_6 and erase any that overlap.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
