About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In  this tutorial I used the beautiful "Licorice"
from the last pack 119
from
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube from

The kit is "Vintage Haunting" from
Pink Paradox Productions
and is also
available at
Barb's store.

I used animation 163 which is in pack 53 from
Kiya's Designs,
again
available at

You will need mask 1 from
and png mask 355
from

You will need Animation Shop for the animation.

Font of choice.

Other than on the word art, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0,
horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste Minja's mask and resize it 60%, select all, float and defloat, make a
new layer, paste paper 22 into the selection, deselect, delete the original
black mask layer and move the paper one up and to the right.

Paste Mizteeque's mask, resize it 80% and repeat the above using paper 21
then merge the paper layer down onto the black layer and move over to the
left.

Paste element 107, resize 40%, recolour to #8a6b3b (check out  my Tips and
Tricks page for info on recolouring) and  move into place.

Paste element 81, resize 45% and move into place.

Paste the tube, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 30%, position below the tube and apply the
shadow.

Paste element 62, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 54, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 80%, erase the bottom part of the stand, position
and apply the shadow.

Paste element 157, resize 50% and move into place.

Paste element 159, resize 40%, position and apply the shadow but changing the
blur to 5.

Paste element 17, resize 50%, position and apply the shadow (remember to
change the settings back).

Paste element 144, resize 80%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 111, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 75, resize 25% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, position and
apply the shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 35%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 22%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 45, resize 25%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 18%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 18%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 5, resize 18%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 32, resize 20%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 33, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 119, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 61 on the top, resize 15%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 63, resize 12%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 108, resize 30% and duplicate, position and apply the shadow to
each.

Paste element 34, resize 22%, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 117, resize 12% and mirror, position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 71, resize 30%, position and apply the shadow.

ANIMATION:

Open Kiya'as animation in Animation shop, select all the frames and go to
Animation - mirror then resize the animation 40%.

Back on the tag, starting at the top, close down all your layers up to and
including the angel face and merge visible, copy this merged layer, paste it
in Animation Shop and duplicate it so it has 16 frames the same as Kiyas
Animation, select all the animation frames again and copy them, click on the
first frame of your tag, again select all the frames then right click, "paste
into selected frame" and position the animation on the tag.  Back in Paint Shop,
close off the merged layer you have and open the others, right click and "copy
merged" then paste in Animation Shop, duplicate it as before, select all the
frames, copy and paste on your animated tag.  When you are done, run your tag
through the optimisation wizard and save as a gif.
