About me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabby tube “Victorian Secret”
From the latest pack 95 from
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “I’m so Hollow”.
I just love this kit!
You will find it at
Deedles  n Doodles store.

You will need mask 3 from set 78 by
and mask 242 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open  a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, duplicate it and close off the copy.  Open Rachel’s mask and mirror, apply it to the open paper copy and resize 90%. Open the closed paper, apply Mizteeque’s mask.  Position Rachel’s mask higher and to the right a little and Mizeeque’s further down and to the left.

Paste frame 1 and resize it 55%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 2, make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 9 into the selection.  Paste the full size tube, position in the frame, invert the selection, hit delete on the tube and deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and lower the opacity to around 75, apply the drop shadow to the frame, close off the white background and two mask layers and “merge visible”, open the closed layers and move the merged one into place.

Paste the tube again, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste spray 12, resize 60%, drag below the merged layer, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 134, resize 90% and rotate 20 degrees to the right,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 137, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste cluster 1, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 above the merged layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 65%, duplicate and mirror the copy, position the original below the merged layer and the copy above it and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 29b just below the tube, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 50, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 51, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 113, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 58 and duplicate, position either side of the tube and apply the drop shadow to each.  They will look a bit odd now as they overlap but that will be covered.

Paste element 4, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 81 on the top, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 131, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 76, resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 42, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste cluster 11, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41c, resize 35%, and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 35%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 122, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 35, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 65, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 121, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 46, resize 15%, duplicate, mirror and flip the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
