About me
Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a gorgeous tube called “Clover” from
You can purchase the tube at
The kit is “Cliodhna”.
This is a really fabulous kit with 105 elements,
21 papers and 12 frames plus several sprays and word art!
The kit is available at
Deedles n Doodles store.
I used mask 28 from
I used the font
I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.
Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 600 pixels and fill with white.
Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 12 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.
Paste spray 5, resize 80% and apply the drop shadow.
Paste frame 12b, resize 50% and move up and to the left a bit, select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and paste paper 12 into it. Paste the tube, resize and position in the frame, invert he selection and hit delete to remove the excess. I resized my tube 60%. Change the blend mode on the tube to “Soft Light” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.
Paste your tube again on the tube on the top, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow. I resized my tube 27%.
Paste element 103, resize 55%, drag down to just above the spray, place in position, duplicate, resize the duplicate another 70% and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste element 36, resize 60%, position so it shows on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position the right, apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste spray 6, drag above the frame, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 39b, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 54, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 16, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 41, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 46, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 79, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 35, resize 60%, drag below the last two elements and position so a little shows on the left, duplicate and position the duplicate so a little shows on the right, erase the parts that overlap and show at the bottom and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste element 49b, resize 45% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 49, resize 40% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 39%, resize 35%, place in position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position it on the left below the ribbon and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste element 28, resize 25% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste one of the word arts (I used 2d) bring to the top, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Check your layers now and see if you need to make any adjustments.
Paste element 38, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 69, resize 30% and duplicate, mirror one copy and rotate the other 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste spray 8, resize 60% and place in position.
When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and export on a transparent background as a png.
